Hotel Hamburg St.Pauli: Here is celebration.
The area is named after St.Pauli, who reminded us more of piety than of lust and vice. It is for 160 years that the area bears the name of St. Pauli. The area between Heiligengeistfeld, port facilities and Wall Street has been called "Hamburger Berg" for centuries. Even today, the descending slopes of the Bernhard-Nocht-Strasse Elbewerft which are out of the region bear the name.
The cell of St.Pauli had been on the former grounds of Cistercian interior monastery. The first buildings were made at the border of Altona and at bank of the river Elbe.
With the threat of war based on the command of the Senate of Hamburg St.Pauli buildings were to be demolished immediately in order to provide free lanes for cannon shots. The villagers of St.Pauli were threatened with the ruthless destruction of their houses on either side of the river.
Today St. Pauli is much more peaceful. The nightlife and culture of the district have long been suitable. Ever since the first opera houses, theaters and zoos in St.Pauli opened and inhabitants of Hamburg know where to go for celebration.
Week after week, visitors from all over the world fill in the district around the Reeperbahn. Thanks to countless bars, and the
musical comedy stage and of course thanks to the business St. Pauli glistens and sparkles with pleasure like the the time of Hans Albers.
